This page details some work we did to a friends C-180 skywagon. His trim was very hard to move and we ended up removing the tail and lots of other things

We are sOOOO missing something.... although whatever it is does not quite strike me yet.....

 

One half of the elevaor had a crused rib that was really hard to see and we pulled the actual tail off and had it rebuilt and we stuck it back on and it almost fixed the problem, the jackscrews felt sharp, that is actually the problem, they should not be sharp. The tail stinger was not hard.... we rebuilt it.

Rinse.... Repeat in the opposite order...
