Hello Everyone! I'm going to build an airplane!!! An airplane you say? But isn't that for aircraft companies? Lets answer some questions.

(TO SEE THE LATEST PROGRESS ON THE AIRPLANE, PLEASE SELECT THE EMPENNAGE BUTTON ON THE LEFT OF THE PAGE (ONLY ACCESSABLE FROM HERE) AND BROWSE TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENT)

1. I want a new airplane, how do I do this?

Answer: pay out 500,000 for an airplane that will do 200+ knots...

The Rub... I dont have a half a million dollars....

The real answer: You build it yourself.

2. Wont it come apart in the air?... what do you build it with, cardboard and plywood?

Answer. The airplane is a fully matched hole aluminum/steel etc..... kit with all the parts pre-made and pre-designed for you... you dont even need a jig.

3. Hmmmm. sounds expensive... how much.

The Answer: It depends... anywhere from 40 thousand to 250 thousand... Mine will more than likely be 55K.

4. How many are flying

ANSWER: OVER 5400 of them!!!!!!

5. How long does it take to put together?

Answer: 1500 hrs or less... espically if you are an aircraft mechanic.

Lets go.....

First Step, visit Vans website. www.vansaircraft.com

Second step... decide what model you want.

Step three.... whip out the trusty checkbook and pay under 2000 for a tail kit with shipping.... tail kit? Yes... you build it in sections.

Step four... buy the wings

Five... buy the fuselage

Six... Buy an engine

Seven... mix thoroughly

Eight... go fly!

I ordered my tail kit already.... I'll post pictures of the progress...

Best

Brian
